Muscat - Royal Oman Police (ROP) have arrested two African nationals for duping a citizen of RO85,000 by luring him into making some investment in a large-scale project. The victim had made a complaint at the Bausher police station. ROP has urged citizens and residents to exercise caution in financial transactions and use legal means to confirm the identity and credibility of the other party. It has been found of late that criminals mostly from Africa come to the Sultanate on tourist visas and deceive people to invest in fake projects.The case has been referred to the prosecutors for further procedures.
